Izumi Yamamoto is a Japanese German multi-instrumentalist whose work has ranged from acclaimed jazz albums to ambient electronic sound art, music for theater, dance and circus to improvised music settings. He had an early introduction to music, learning to piano throughout his childhood. Growing up in four different countries on three different continents, the various cultural backgrounds played an important role in his musical language.
