Izumi Yamamoto is a Berlin based half japanese/german musician who explores themes related to echtzeit-improvisation, live - sequencing and composing with different approaches. As a teenager, he took part of Jugend Musiziert and won several first prizes in different constellations.
After highschool, he studied Music Media at Artez Conservatory in Enschede and moved to Berlin in 2014. Since then, he collaborates with several Artists and also worked as a musical director for theater/contemporary circus.
He plays keyboard and synthesizer in several projects: Chinaski in Space, Laktrio and Okujoubeat and is also curating the experimental concert-series called Grüntaler in Berlin.
His work has been presented in festivals and venues such as, West Germany (DE), Sisyphos (DE), Garbicz Festival (PL) and Gogbot (NL) to name a few.
